2nd Annual Autism Golf Classic Set for June

2nd Annual Autism Golf Classic Set for June

The 2nd Annual Autism Advocate Foundation Golf Classic takes place on Saturday, June 26, at Blackmoor Golf Club in Murrells Inlet. A 2 p.m. shotgun start is set.

Entry fees are $65 per person, and $250 per foursome. The tournament features a four-player Captain’s Choice format, and each entry entitles participants to golf, a light meal, refreshments, goodie bag and entry into the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin competitions.

Prizes will be awarded to the low net foursome winner, as well as the winners of the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin contests. ”Mulligan packages,” which include extra shots, “strings” and “throws” to help your team gain that extra competitive edge, are available for $25 per foursome.

The event will also feature a silent auction and raffle, and sponsorship opportunities starting at $150 are available.

All proceeds will benefit the Autism Advocate Foundation in its ongoing efforts to provide support services for individuals in Horry County with autism spectrum disorders. As recently as December 2009, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported that autism now affects 1 in 110 American children.

To enter, purchase a sponsorship or donate raffle/silent auction items, call the Autism Advocate Foundation at 843-213-0217.
