7 Myrtle Beach Weekend Ideas!

Yeah it’s Friday, you are sitting at your computer awaiting 5 o’clock to roll around…..and are scanning the internet for something to do. Something new, something exciting, something original and something fun. Whew well thank goodness for me! I just thought I’d give ya’ll some hints. Check ‘em out and tell me what you think. Or contribute your fabulous weekend plans!
  1. Hit the beach! Okay so you live by Myrtle Beach so you might as well enjoy it every now and then. Grab the boogie boards, a good book and some great friends and enjoy the beautiful weather before summer is over!
  2. The Simpson’s Movie. Need I say more? Click here for movie times!
  3. Myrtle Beach 500. Celebrate the Dale Jr. Inside each and every one of you and burn some rubber at NASCAR Speedpark! Fun for kids, but just as fun for adults!
  4. Plan a picnic. Enjoy the beach and the shade at our Beautiful Huntington State Park. Grab some tasty food and enjoy the outdoors, picnic tables, and charcoaled meat! Yum.
  5. Thrill Ride. Check out the boardwalk and the slingshot thingy (yeah really, what is that thing called!?!) I’ve never tried it but by the screams of terror I hear emulating from it…it’s bound to be good. And heck, being dropped 3 stories while strapped to a chair by ginormous rubber bands, seriously what’s not fun about that?
  6. Ethnic Cuisine. Try a fabulous restaurant we are so proud of here in Myrtle. My recommendations? Rioz, Miyabi, Black Thai—hit up a goood meal. You deserve it!
  7. Slushees with Alcohol!??! Yeah we’ve thought of EVERYTHING here in Myrtle, even alcoholic slurpees! If you haven’t noticed lately it’s smokin’ hot here at the beach and what better way to cool down than with a frosty libation on the patio? Fat Tuesdays totally rocks and even has a beverage with maximum alcohol goodness (yeah and extra shots are just a buck!) with wood grain alcohol! Taste so good you’ll swear it just was brewed outta the bathtub! Yum.
