Ask.com Names Myrtle Beach Among “Coolest Places to Travel” This Summer

Grab your sunscreen and towel, and don't forget the sunglasses. Memorial Day officially (began) the summer travel season and 178 million adults are online, many searching for the hottest vacation destinations. To help those having trouble deciding where to go this summer, Ask.com has released its lists of the most searched travel destinations on Ask.com.

Bring the kids along for the ride

With school letting out, families are looking for destinations that are exciting for children and parents alike. The "brand" destinations rule the roost this year, as places like Disneyland, Universal Studios and Six Flags earned the top three spots on this year's "Top Family Friendly Vacation Spots" list.

But beyond the "brands," the current economic climate has prompted parents to use search engines as a launch pad for vacation value, searching out inclusive package deals and locations where the family can enjoy diverse activities in a single destination. As such, the Grand Strand earned prominent positioning on this list.
