Beat The Heat

It’s hot. Really hot. Sometimes...really really hot.  So besides ducking from air conditioning to air conditioning what’s a Myrtle Beacher to do?
Well get ice cream of course! SoI’ve rounded up some of the favorites and you can go refresh yourselves with the much needed and tasty cool treat.  So enjoy:

Rita’s:
Well their slogan truly says it all Ice, Custard Happiness? Need I say more? And what better way to beat the 100 degree plus heat that we have been sweating here in Myrtle Beach than a cold frosty and delicious treat? With a menu boasting gelato, blendinis, custards, and of course Italian Ices this stop here is sure to quench the heat, at least until you step back outside!

Bruster’s:
This is more than just an ice cream shop…..try an ice cream experience! They have everything form smoothies, to cakes, to waffle bowls to smoothies, to blasts and –heck they even have ice cream. They specialize in blending the best ingredients and talk about creativity! Yummy, tasty and delicious!

Coldstone Creamery:
We’ve already expounded on the joys of Coldstone, so check out the article here.

Sonic:
Already my favorite fast food burger spot, how can you go wrong with a place that is constantly revamping their summer treats? From over 435 Slushee flavors to the recently and deliciously decadent Cookie Dough Blast (though last time I ordered mine with extra, extra, extra cookie dough, and that might have been a little much). Gotta love Sonic!

Dairy Queen:
The place where Blizzards were born HAVE to be the best place to get them….right? Any resturant that orchestrated the flurry revolution is top notch in my books. One can reminice with a Dilly bar, ice cream sandwich or hand dipped cones in chocolate or butterscotch. But truly Dairy Queen continues to reign supreme with creative and tasty blizzards, flurries and banana splits.

If none of these strike your fancy you can of course go the local way and pave the way for a new favorite ice cream shop around the beach.
