Maggie Sullivan, a 26-year employee at Ocean Reef Resort, was honored with the Hospitality Employee of the Year Award by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce at its recent 2010 Annual Meeting.
Along with Sullivan’s award, the Myrtle Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau was announced as the 2010 CVB of the Year by the Southeast Tourism Society at this meeting. The prestigious award signifies the Myrtle Beach Area CVB’s considerable contributions to the community and the tourism industry as a whole.
“The Myrtle Beach Area CVB winning the Shining Example Award from the Southeast Tourism Society in this category is very exciting. It helps show that all of our collective efforts within the community to improve tourism to the Myrtle Beach area have been successful,” said Brad Dean, President and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Southeast Tourism Society Shining Example Awards recognize those that have advanced the cause of travel and tourism in the Southeastern states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia & West Virginia.

Small Business Award- FSA Full Steam Ahead, Inc. Fire and Water Restoration
The Southeast Tourism Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promoting economic development through travel and sustainable tourism throughout the Southeast.
