You are a bunch of bureaucrats and you need to worry about us who have enjoyed the bike rally, and as far as vets enjoying Myrtle Beach if I have anything to do with it vets will not come to your city until you submit to welcoming us, which you have never done! Until you understand that the only reason you still have your freedom is because we fought for you who have not fought and never asked for your acceptance but lived by your rules and regulations ... Me and my veteran friends will not participate in your economy funding Nazi regime! WE come for the brotherhood and atmosphere, not for the government garbage that is going on now! You need to fix this, SGT special Forces 547 Desert Storm ....

Just Start From Scratch its the best way !!!!!!

As a somewhat local (just inside NC), I did a lot of shopping in Myrtle Beach. My problem is I ride a motorcycle with after market pipes. It is my main transportation; if I have to look forward to a citation each time I go to MB because of my pipes, what is the sense of going there anymore?
I am also a Viet Nam era Vet and an employee with a local Government, as a professional I am sure there are a lot of other people in this same category that feel the same as me.
I will not be shopping in your city anymore (too many ways around it) or gracing your city streets anymore until this is matter is resolved.
If your police would take care of the problems instead of running scared of the fanatical groups that would get involved (I think everyone knows who I am talking about) it might make a difference.
    Enough said.

I agree although i am not a biker myself most of my marine brothers are…and yes we are a rougher bunch than the usual crowd, but flowers and birds dont help you keeping cool nerves when a Dushka is spewing metal your way… it seems people only want us when the sh*t hit the fan

I appreciate Leo Macon’s comments and believe there are many, many people with his same sentiments. We live in Lexington and own property in the North Myrtle Beach area and have been surprised this year by how many of our renters have indicated they are avoiding Myrtle Beach because of the ordinances and the attitude of the city government. Not all of these folks are motorcyclists—many of them simply don’t like the attitude that one group of tourists is “better” than another. Many of our renters are ex-military (as are we—husband is retired Army) and do ride Harleys and trust me, many of these these honorable veterans don’t want to be part of a city that singles out one group over another. Totally in agreement with Leo. We avoid the Myrtle area when we are in town at our house as well. Myrtle has lost thousands of dollars in business just from our renters’ lost business…wonder how bad it is mulltiplied by all of the other people Myrtle has alienated. A shame because it used to be a great place to visit…
