One of rock's most enduring acts makes its way to North Myrtle Beach next week, as Collective Soul plays the House of Blues on Monday, July 13. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.
Collective Soul hits the Grand Strand as its latest album, Collective Soul (Rabbit), readies for its in-store release Aug.25. They'll be appearing with Gavin DeGraw and Green River Ordinance.
Collective Soul (Rabbit) is the band's eighth studio album. Collective Soul has amassed 19 hit singles in their 16-year career, with seven of those reaching the #1 spot on Billboard magazine's radio charts (including "Shine," "December" and "Heavy" in the 1990s):
According to the band's Web site, Collective Soul was most recently featured on the multi-platinum selling Twilight soundtrack and their song, "Hollywood" (from their 2007 Top 25 album Afterwords), was featured prominently in American Idol's Fall 2008 season for several weeks. Lead vocalist Ed Roland later worked with winner and longtime fan David Cook on his debut album.
