Dickens Christmas Show Kicks Off at Convention Center

The 29th Annual Dickens Christmas Show & Festivals Week kicks off today at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, offering a trip back in time to an elaborate 19th Century holiday marketplace setting – and a first opportunity for visitors to get a jump on their seasonal shopping.
This year’s show features a variety of festivals and attractions, including:
- The Festival of Tables, featuring holiday centerpieces with proceeds to benefit the Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission;
- The Festival of Worlds, highlighting foods of selected countries from around the world;
- The Festival of Trees, with an array of 50 magical Christmas trees whose proceeds benefit Citizens Against Spouse Abuse; and
- The Festival of Wreaths, showcasing a variety of holiday wreaths whose proceeds benefit various area children’s charities through Myrtle Beach Kiwanis Clubs.
Show times are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through Saturday, and 12-6 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children 2-12, with free admission for kids under 2. Multi-day passes are also available for $12 apiece.
