Dickens Show Gears Up for 27th Annual Edition

http://www.dickenschristmasshow.com/images/gallery/gallery1.jpgThe sun’s still beating down warmly, so it’s hard to imagine that in only a matter of weeks we’ll be ringing in the holiday season.

And when we do, we’ll be kicking it off with perhaps the crown jewel of the Grand Strand yuletide scene. The 27th Annual Dickens Christmas Show & Festivals is set for Nov. 13-16 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

In this magical world of Charles Dickens, you can wander the aisles of 350 period clad vendors hawking wares of fine art, crafts, imported gifts, toys and more. The Dickens show creates an environment filled with original, quality items awaiting shoppers ... satisfying even the most discriminating of tastes.

An authentic recreation of the Charles Dickens era offers a stunning backdrop with an excursion into Christmas Past. London row houses, strolling minstrels, Christmas finery and unique treasures form a compelling 19th Century holiday environment that appeals to the kid in all of us. Festive foods, carolers and numerous holiday merrymakers make it fun for the entire family.

The Dickens show has received national acclaim and offers a wealth of entertainment, including Punch and Judy Shows, a Victorian Tea Leaf Reader, festive food, strolling minstrels and costume-clad Dickens characters. And it goes without saying that no holiday celebration would be complete without a visit from Santa Claus – and at the Dickens show, you get to share your Christmas list and get a photo with St. Nick in his very own Victorian Castle.

For advance tickets or exhibitor information, call 843-448-9483, e-mail dickensshow@sc.rr.com or visit the show’s Web site.
