As reported by Lynne Shackleford of the Spartanburg (S.C.) Herald-Journal, a SuperPLAY USA complex is being built as a major part of a Spartanburg redevelopment initiative. The complex will include a state-of-the art movie theater with 12 movie screens and 2,500 seats; indoor miniature golf course; bowling lanes; batting cages; laser tag; arcade; food and beverage options for kids and adults; and more.
The Spartanburg SuperPLAY will be the latest addition to the Port St. Lucie, Fla.-based enterprise, along with similar concepts already underway in Charleston, S.C. and Atlantic City, N.J. Shackleford also notes that Frank Theaters, a subsidiary of the company in charge of SuperPLAY’s development, already has a cinema presence in Conway and has initiated discussions with “a Myrtle Beach developer” to build a SuperPLAY USA center on the Grand Strand.
Bruce Frank, CEO of Frank Family Entertainment Group, is shown in this video providing a comprehensive overview of their New Jersey project.
If this is what we might expect in Myrtle Beach, then it’s time to weigh in. What do you think of SuperPLAY USA possibly coming here?
