Have you always wanted to know more about that chair purchased at an auction years ago, or about the silver service you inherited from your grandmother?
If so, you’re in luck if you attend the Arts, Antiques and Treasures Appraisal Day on Saturday, Jan. 22, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum of Myrtle Beach (3100 S. Ocean Blvd.).
Inspired by the PBS series, the Art Museum presents a day that will feature informal verbal appraisals of your special objects by national and local experts. The experts will not only evaluate items, but will be available to provide information about caring for your treasures. Experts in fine art, jewelry, silver, ceramics/collectibles, colonial items and furniture will participate.
Tickets for this event are $35 for museum members and $40 for non-members, and includes admission as well as appraisals of up to three items. For more information, visit the museum’s Web site.
