Good, Clean, Cross-Dressing Fun!

http://autismadvocatefoundation.com/images/cutiepie2.gif Presented by Conway Main Street USA, the annual It’s Raining Men: Cutie Pie Beauty Pageant is a hilarious, fun-filled event featuring 20 community business men dressing as women to raise money for local charities. This year’s pageant is set for Thursday, Oct. 23, 6 p.m. at Revolutions Dance Club at Broadway at the Beach. Diane DeVaughn Stokes will be the emcee.

Cutie Pie features an evening gown competition (complete with make-up and wigs) and a talent show, with hors d' oeuvres and a cash bar available.

It takes real men to do this event, and not only are these “Cutie Pies” raising money to benefit Historic Preservation, Arts, and Culture in Conway’s Authentic Historic Rivertown, but will also make a difference in the lives of area children in need. A portion of the proceeds will be distributed to several children's charities locally in and around the Grand Strand/Horry County areas whose mission is to help fostered, poverty stricken or hungry children.

This year’s Cutie Pie contestants include Andy Christenson, Surfside Beach Chief of Police; Kevin Cox, Horry Telephone Cooperative; Travis Dannelly, First Citizens Bank; Dennis Disabato, Grand Strand Provisions; Woody Ford, Blue Cross Blue Shield; Andrew Handley, Handley’s Pub & Grub; Jim Hanley, Carolina First Bank, Dr. Jeff Horowitz, Carolina Cosmetic Dentistry; Timmy Johnson, Pully Bones Restaurant; Chris Manios, Club Kryptonite; Dennis Murphy, Diebold Fire & Security; Bob Okun, Southern Home Blind & Shade; Tom Raub, Meridian Management Solutions; Chris Sansbury, Century 21 McAlpine; Brandon Summit, R Salon & Spa; Chris Teems, Horry Electric; Adam Wilson, Carolina First Bank; and John Zilinsky, Zilinsky Law Firm.

Tickets are $50, and are available by calling 843-248-6260.
