Good Fun, Good Causes, Good Dogs!
Adore your pooch? Love your kitty? Then what better way to spend your Saturday then attending a charity event where procedures go to preserving our canine and feline friends? How about going to one in which you are guaranteed to have a blast and see cross dressers? Yep, you read correctly. On April 19
th the
Grand Strand Humane Society is having it’s annual event—The Sweetie Pie Pageant. For those of you curious, this is indeed an event where prominent Myrtle Beach business men don evening gowns, tiaras, and stockings and parade themselves around for the dogs! There’s even a talent and evening wear competition. So come not only mock local brave men, but support a great cause! The event will take place at
Broadway at the Beach on April 19th, and tickets go to benefit the local Humane Society and it’s efforts with homeless pets.

Waccamaw Animal Rescue (WARM) will host its third annual Spring Fling Pet Parade from 10-3pm at Inlet Square Mall. Activities include Sprint Outfit parade, mascots, petting farm and more. Call 424-8986.
So gear up, grab your puppy, or just the kids to watch and have a blast because Myrtle Beach has gone to the dogs...errr and cats!

Pet stores and breeders get enough of peoples money, especially when perfectly good family pets can be had at the humane society. Good for them.

Got my dog at a shelter also. One of the best things you can do if you’re a pet or animal lover.
