How About Some Suga’?

The hottest concert of the Strand Summer—Sugarland—is coming to North Myrtle this Friday night, truly a must see performance. Though nearly a year ago virtually unheard of this band is more than just up and coming, they are already here, happenin’ and rockin’ the Country Charts and fans everywhere!

Originally an Atlanta based trio, the band came together with a simple phone call. Kristin Hall called fellow local singer ands songwriter Kristian Bush and asked if she was interested in combining their creative energies. Once the two put their heads together they knew they were destined for success and now they only lacked a lead singer to make it star bound. One look and listen at smoking hot Jennifer Nettles belting out her Southern twang and the three knew a record deal couldn’t be far behind. And with their first release in 2004 with Twice the Speed of Life, which has now gone double platinum, they just keep getting better and better. Now here a mere three years later, though down an original member they have been rocking steadily and picking up an incredible amount of fame, fans, and adoration. With nominations, awards, and even a Grammy under their belt Sugarland is out on tour and notorious for a sweet show and for selling out the house at nearly every venue. And with five top ten hits on the country charts it’s really no surprise why! They have star quality—looks, sound, and lyrics that keep the public begging for more; yet still seem to maintain that local hometown feel we can relate to. Just last summer they played in Loris for a free concert at the Bog-off, a step off their usual circuit which consists of jamming with big acts like Kenny Chesney, Bon Jovi, and set for this summer—the legendary Brooks and Dunn!

Don’t miss this hot new show brought to Myrtle Beach this Friday. Gaze at the stunning Jennifer Nettles singing the hits, rock out to the twang yet hip fresh guitar sound of country hip-hop, or sing along with the incredible and heartfelt lyrics. No aspect of this show will be disappointing so treat yourself to a little suga’-well Sugarland, at the House of Blues tonight!
