Legends has a top-notch practice facility in Myrtle Beach
I haven't played the three courses at
Legends Golf Club yet, but I keep going back to use the driving range and short game area.
There is a massive putting green that is in very good shape. The chipping green is in equally good condition and offers plenty of space to hit chips and pitches. Don't you hate when the chipping green is cut about as low as a scruffy fairway? Not the case here, it's about as fast as the putting green. There are two bunkers as well.
The driving range is monstrous. I don't know the official count but I'd guess there is room for 150-175 spots. There is also a golf academy that offers individual and group lessons.
What I usually do is buy a $3 token of balls, chip around with them for awhile, then bang em onto the range. That can keep you busy all afternoon.
Legends is located off Highway 501. Is there a better practice facility out there I haven't seen yet?

I haven’t been to Legends yet, but from what you’ve described it’s probably one of the best (if not THE best) practice facilities you’ll find around here. From what I’ve seen they really vary by course, but for what it’s worth I haven’t seen anything close to Legends’ facilities and I’ve probably played about half the courses on the Grand Strand over the past 10 years.
