- Pictures at an Exhibition (Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, 4 p.m., Myrtle Beach High School Auditorium). Mussorgsky’s famous masterpiece Pictures at an Exhibition serves as the focal point for a program of music inspired by visual imagery, including Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks, Debussy’s ethereal Nocturnes, and songs from Mahler’s Des Knaben Wunderhorn and Rückert Lieder - brought to life by world-renowned baritone Tom Fox.
- The World of Dance! (Sunday, March 8, 2009, 4 p.m., Myrtle Beach High School Auditorium). Highlighting the fundamental relationship between music and dance, featuring the world of ballet, Baroque dance, Eastern European folk dance, ballroom, shag and more, all with leading dance companies. Don’t miss this extravaganza - a symphonic “Dancing with the Stars!”
Season tickets range from $105 to $160 for adults and $95 to $140 for seniors. For single shows, tickets for each age group cost $35 to $50 and $30 to $45, respectively.
