Melting Pot of Myrtle Beach Honored as One of Nation’s 100 Best

OpenTable, Inc., a leading provider of free, real-time online restaurant reservations for diners and reservation and guest management solutions for restaurants, included The Melting Pot of Myrtle Beach among its honorees in announcing the Diners' Choice Awards for the top 100 best restaurants in the United States.

The Melting Pot is included in a list of winners that was derived from more than 10 million reviews submitted by OpenTable diners, for more than 12,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The honorees span 34 states and Washington, D.C. North Carolina tied the dining mecca of California with 10 winning restaurants, while New York eateries claimed seven spots. South Carolina, Texas and Virginia each took six places.

"The restaurants on this list are wonderfully varied, but they have one overwhelming quality in common – each establishment is taking every opportunity to deliver a superb dining experience," says Caroline Potter, OpenTable's Chief Dining Officer. "Quality and consistency in the food, service and setting are the hallmarks of the very best restaurants, and all three elements can be found in abundance by diners visiting any of these honorees."

Based on feedback collected from OpenTable diners between December 2010 and November 2011, the 100 restaurants on this list received the highest scores from OpenTable diners for being the best overall restaurants in the U.S. For more information about this list, please visit http://www.opentable.com/bestoverall.
