Only Kaanapali, Hawaii separates Myrtle Beach from the top spot in Yahoo! Travel's current listing of the "World's Best Beaches." Drumroll, please:
Elite company, indeed. What's more, Yahoo! Travel's Myrtle Beach page offers convenient access to a wealth of recommendations and easy-to-use resources for planning your next trip to the Grand Strand. "Recommended Places in Myrtle Beach" features sections on "Restaurants," "Attractions" and "Hotels" that each offer numerous sorting options. You'll also find nearly 700 reviews and more than 400 trip plans; "Trip Planner" is one of Yahoo! Travel's most helpful features, especially if you're looking for guidance for customizing your itinerary (for instance, Page 1 for Myrtle Beach shows one user's guide to "The Man's Weekend," while another user offers a detailed schedule for the May 2007 Myrtle Beach Bike Rally). And "Answers about Myrtle Beach, SC" currently contains 77 detailed Q & A entries provided by Yahoo! Travel users.
The "Hotels" section seems most extensive, with the ability to narrow your search by type, price, hotel class, neighborhood and proximity to area attractions. Just be advised that one of the types listed, "Vacation Rental," has more than 5,000 entries, which can either be a blessing or a curse depending on the type of accommodations you need. The "Neighborhood" section whittles it down to just over 300 entries - much more manageable, yet almost 100 more than TripAdvisor.com's Myrtle Beach hotel listing.
Had never used Yahoo Travel before, but I like it. It’s much more user friendly than Trip Advisor. Thanks for the tip!
Nice to see that we’re eight spots ahead of one of MB’s biggest competitors for tourists!
