Myrtle Beach Real Estate Showing Signs of Hope for 2009

With all the bad news we've been hearing on the nationwide economy, it's encouraging to see in this PRWeb release that the Myrtle Beach real estate market is one of a select group around the country that's showing signs of promise. As Richard Brooks of Condolux in North Myrtle Beach points out:

"Myrtle Beach, South Carolina agents have seen buyer inquiries nearly double with the new year. Web site traffic and MLS searches are equal to or higher than last summer. Many of the foreclosures are now off the market, but buyers are still seeking the rock bottom prices they continue to hear about. The South Carolina vacation industry historically boosts Myrtle Beach real estate sales in the summer season, so 2009 holds much promise for an improved market."

Condolux also reports that rental reservations taken during December for 2009 were at an all-time high, which "will be a big help to the many condo investors that have suffered through the real estate crunch and managed to hold on for better economic times."

We put together that press release, and it’s quite true.
Internet interest for real estate has at a minimum doubled on our websites since New Years, and Condolux owner, Martin Brown is very pleased with early reservations so far.  It should be a much better year this year!

Having sold Real Estate in the Atlanta and Myrtle Beach areas during the past 11 years,  I have yet to receive as many Buyer inquiries as I am at present.  These are qualified Buyers that understand that we along the Grand Strand will continue to grow and develop…contrary to nay-sayers in the Press.  Prices are at levels that we saw in 2003 and my Buyers understand the urgency to buy this time of year.  Once the Spring and Summer months arrive, we will be inundated with our friends in the North vowing to move South before the next snowfall.  Simple economics…increased demand brings increased value.

Well, thanks David.  I didn’t do THIS blog…it belongs to the Sun News.  But I did put together the press release they are referring too.

I get by with a little help from my friends…:-)

Yes, there are bright spots in the real estate market.  The market is challenging, but change is good and we will be here for the long run!
