Myrtle Waves to Host Record-Breaking Swim Lesson

Myrtle Waves to Host Record-Breaking Swim Lesson

A record-breaking event is on tap for June 3 at Myrtle Waves Water Park.

The park, in conjunction with other water parks, pools and aquatic facilities around the globe, is participating in the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson to raise awareness about the importance of teaching children how to swim. They will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people participating in a swim lesson.

Swimmers – and non-swimmers, of course – are invited to the Ocean in Motion wave pool from 10 to 11 a.m. June 3 for the free event. Bubble blowing, back floating and flutter kicking are among the life-saving skills to be taught during the lesson.

Participants will also receive a discount on park admission if they choose to stay and play after the lesson. To register or for more information about the event, go to the Myrtle Waves Facebook page.

Great idea! I have the hardest time trying to teach my 4yo how to swim and get use to the water, maybe this will help!
