
Fathers and sons unite once more in "The Seaside Golf Capital of the World" for the 13th Annual Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore National Father & Son Team Classic, set for July 22-24, 2010 at 13 Grand Strand golf facilities.
This three-day family event has become the largest father-son golf event in the world. Last year's 54-hole competition drew more than 1,200 players from 44 states and 8 foreign countries, participating in 36 flights. Tyler Sluman, 16, and his father Wayne Sluman (older brother of PGA TOUR pro Jeff Sluman) of Sarasota, Florida, won the 2009 Classic with a finishing score of 20 under par.
Eligible pairings include father/son, grandfather/grandson, stepfather/stepson, father-in-law/son-in-law and uncle/nephew. Along with three days of golf and an exceptional gift package, each player will receive a $200 Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore gift card.
This year’s tournament host sites include Barefoot Resort & Golf, Pine Lakes Country Club, Farmstead Golf Links, Resort Course at Grande Dunes, Myrtlewood Golf Club, Tidewater Golf Club, Wachesaw Plantation East, River Hills Golf and Country Club, Thistle Golf Club, South Creek at Myrtle Beach National, The Founders Club at Pawleys Island, Legends Resort and Arcadian Shores Golf Club.
