Progressive rock pioneers Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White of the legendary group Yes make a special appearance on the Grand Strand later this week, performing at The House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
Yes achieved its biggest commercial success in the U.S. from 1983 to 1985, charting four singles in the top 10 of the U.S. mainstream rock charts headed by their number-one hit, "Owner of a Lonely Heart." Their current tour marks the 40th anniversary of the group's inception in 1968.
A good example of the group's diverse sound can be heard in "Changes," from Yes' triple-platinum 90125 album. The syncopated rhythm isn't exactly a toe-tapper, but that's not really the point. It's a visceral but fascinating piece - and my personal favorite from 90125:
Tickets to this show range from $38.50 to $92, and can be purchased here.
