Road Trip: Myrtle Beach set to complete season on Golf Channel

http://www.golfholiday.com/roadtrip/media/layout/logo-trans.pngThe eclectic foursome of two musicians and two professional golfers will visit to the "Golf Capital of the World" to complete their ultimate golf vacation when Road Trip: Myrtle Beach returns to Golf Channel to complete its first season on Tuesday (Nov. 18) at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Former PGA Tour professional and current golf commentator Charlie Rymer will be reunited with Hootie & the Blowfish guitarist Mark Bryan, musician Josh Kelley and Duramed Futures Tour player Perry Swenson to take in all that Myrtle Beach has to offer. New episodes will air for four consecutive weeks, with each episode highlighting different courses and popular night spots in the Myrtle Beach area, featuring light-hearted banter between the participants both on and off the course.

"Myrtle Beach is one of the best destinations to visit for a golf vacation," said Kelley, who recently released his latest album, To Remember. "We had a great time shooting the series, and viewers will enjoy seeing both our competitive fire on the course and our lighter sides in the evenings as we let our hair down."

Tuesday's episode will take viewers to Thistle Point Golf Club in North Myrtle Beach, where a unique bet is wagered at the top of the show. The losing twosome from the round will learn the "Carolina Shag" - the official state dance of South Carolina - and perform on-stage at Sharky's Ocean Isle waterfront restaurant that evening.

Future episodes will take the cast to top courses throughout the Grand Strand area, including Glen Dornoch Golf Links, Leopard's Chase at Ocean's Ridge Plantation and the Arnold Palmer designed River's Edge Golf Club, along with several of the top nightlife venues, including a concert at House of Blues on the Dec. 2 episode. The cast also will try their hands in deep sea fishing, miniature golf and partake in a unique alligator adventure.

The group also will be joined by Kelly Thurman, an avid GOLF CHANNEL viewer and Road Trip: Myrtle Beach fan, for the Nov. 25 episode. The Alpharetta, Ga. resident was selected as the winner of the Road Trip: Myrtle Beach Guest Star Giveaway contest held earlier this summer.

The final four episodes of Road Trip: Myrtle Beach will air on GOLF CHANNEL each Tuesday, concluding Dec. 9.
