Rock Out With Your Mug Out!
What do four of rock’s rockingest stars do when they aren’t clad in sleeveless leather, face painted like zombies, breaking furniture, and crowd surfing? Well, opening up a coffee shop of course! What else do retired rockers do? The band
KISS is coasting on their infamy still for the third decade straight of “rock solid” success. For our reviewing delight I decided to check out this “hotspot” and see what kind of caffeine buzz a
KISS Coffee shop can offer.
The store front is kickin’ with KISS flavor and visitors walk by stunned and impressed by the scenery. Inside sits…well a coffee shop—but with various KISS memorabilia and racks of souvenir KISS coffee mugs. With authority I strolled up to the counter prepared to have a rockin’ cup of coffee. Glancing up at the menu I was met with flavors such as “Demon Dark Roast” and “Room Service.” Oddly enough however, the menu strangely resembled a limited and zany version of Starbucks. The staff was friendly and helpful and recommended as a frosty and delectable treat a “slurpeesque” beverage entitled the “Rockuchino.” When chatting with the staff I asked what other accolades this hotspot could be noted on, their answer?
Unanimously and in unison: “the bathroom!”
And I’d tend to agree because it’s not often you see bathrooms like that!
Amazingly enough, though I don’t want to ruin all the surprise and fun: this was the most exciting and definable part of the entire experience.
In case you’ve never moseyed on over and checked out this hotspot I’d highly recommend it! AND, just in time because June 16
th marks the 1
st anniversary! What better way to try your coffee favorites than while checking out Ace Frehley at the
celebration.
I’ll let you check it out for yourselves next time you grab a cup of java and rock with some KISS flava’.
Overall Experience: 3 Stars too much hype, not enough delivery
Selection: 1 star kind of disappointed in the 5 flavor choices
Taste: 1 star eeh, if you’ve had one slurpee you’ve had them all.
Bathroom: 6 stars, very exciting.
Staff: 5 stars, very helpful and delightful.
