Greenwood, S.C. artist Fred Galloway has unveiled one of his latest works, "The Myrtle Beach Pavilion," in a 19" x 26" print of his original oil-on-canvas. Galloway has released a 2,000-print lot at $110 apiece (signed and numbered), making this work a limited-edition collector's item that has already become his best-selling piece.
With many of Galloway's other landscape works sold throughout the state, the demand from Myrtle Beach frame shop owners in particular is what compelled him to create his Pavilion piece.
And while this painting was inspired by his own memories, Galloway marvels at how his work has already stirred the remembrances of others who see it. "It's where they hung out as kids, and they just want something to remember that time," he tells The (Greenwood) Index-Journal.
