  • Cheer on or compete against these brave men and women at River Oaks Golf Plantation for the annual SC Firefighters Foundation Golf Tournament.
  • Watch the extrication events at Broadway at the Beach where spectators can cheer on their local hometown teams in the execution of their daily jobs. Strenouous competitive physical activities such as climbing stairs with a hose pack, advancing with a flowing hose, rescuing a potential victim and forcibly entering a residency with shot mallet versus a 160lb steel beam are all available for the public. Watch squads from around the United States compete and enjoy seeing how these men and women risk their lives and bodies on a daily basis.
  • Friday, July 20th marks the annual SC Firefighters Parade and Muster with a celebration to follow at Broadway at the Beach.
  • And for the junior firefighter in your life July 20th and 21st offers an EdVenture Children’s Museum or Junior Firefighters Camp. Ages 4-7 learn all aspects of fire prevention, safety and protocol with crafts, snacks, songs and games.

Overall the week should be fun yet informative as children and adults not only learn about safety but are able to see what risks and trials go into the daily life of these men and women put their lives on the line for our safety! Enjoy and come support your local firefighters today!

I attended musters a lot when I was a kid and my father was with FDNY.  They’re really neat events and good to bring the family.
