South Strand Courses Begin Instructional Clinics This Saturday

Cost-effective, high-caliber golf instruction returns to the South Strand this week as Litchfield Country Club and River Club host their next series of instructional clinics this Saturday, Feb. 26.

Litchfield Country Club Teaching Pro Paul Contento will be joined by fellow instructors from Litchfield, River Club and Willbrook Plantation, who will lead attendees through the proper techniques and drills to improve their game.

Each clinic costs $15 to attend, starts at 10 a.m. and will last for one hour or more. The scheduled sessions include:

Feb. 26 - Wedge it Close! Wonder how the pros can be so accurate with their wedges? Come find out! Clinic hosted at Litchfield.
Mar. 5 - Chipping and Bunker. Learn how to chip it close and get out of the bunker in one stroke. Clinic hosted at River Club.
Mar. 12 - Full Swing irons, hybrids and fairway woods. If you hit it off the turf, instructors will work on it this week. Clinic hosted at Litchfield.
Mar. 19 – Get the Most from Your Drives. Hit the ball with more power and accuracy. Clinic hosted at Litchfield.
Mar. 30 – Putt Properly. Learn which grip and putting style works best for you. Use tour-proven drills to improve tempo and feel to reduce or eliminate three-putts. Clinic held at Litchfield.
