T-shirts don't just make great souvenirs. For me, they either signify the unique places I've visited, teams and athletes I've cheered, or that my mind sometimes drifts off to "The Far Side."
There's a wide range of trinket shops up and down the Grand Strand to satisfy your t-shirt needs on your next trip to the Myrtle Beach area. For starters, you can't drive more than a few blocks on Kings Highway without seeing a Wings or Eagles shop. They're heavy on inventory and light on the debit card, but outside of needing a shirt emblazoned with "Myrtle Beach," the themes tend to run along these lines: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1265/548432796_b7cbf989c7_o.jpg
Looking for something a little more unique? Then head down to Pawleys Island and stop by The Original Hammock Shop. Besides being the "Original Home of the Pawleys Island Rope Hammock" for almost 120 years, they offer a wide selection of t-shirts that push the creative envelope a bit more: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1090/548432820_d64b1117ab_o.jpg

I tried the Cayenne Concoction, their 2005 Golden Chile Award Winner for "Best Louisiana-style Hot Sauce." With a medium heat, it's got plenty of zip to go with the taste, and a good initial gauge of what you can expect from their milder and hotter selections. Plus, you can tell your friends back home that you got it at the only retail store on the Grand Strand (and one of only 78 around the country) that sells it.
Man, I miss Gary Larson. Thanks for reminding us about his warped genius!
