Instead of welcoming fall with open arms, the sandy shores of North Myrtle Beach insist on celebrating never-ending warmth with the Endless Summer Festival on Saturday, Oct. 25.
Headlining the Festival on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach will be a live performance by The New Rascals, featuring Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Dino Danelli and Gene Cornish, and also Charlie Souza (formerly with Tom Petty) and Bill Pascali of Vanilla Fudge. Their hit songs include "Good Lovin," "People Got to Be Free," and "Groovin." The Rascals have sold more than 30 million albums worldwide (including 13 gold and two platinum), and have recorded 14 hit singles.
The main entertainment stage will be located at the famous "Horseshoe," with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop. The live music starts at 12 p.m. with The Coco Loco Party Band, followed by SeaCruz at 1 p.m. – both entertaining the crowd with hits from the past and today. The New Rascals’ performance follows at 2:30 p.m. Festival goers are encouraged to bring a beach chair to enjoy this free concert.
The festival, now in its eighth year, attracts crowds of more than 10,000. Food vendors feature everything from boiled peanuts to fried banana pudding, and plenty of arts and craft vendors line Main Street along with a large children's area featuring carnival rides and a community stage. Classic car enthusiasts will enjoy The Chicora Car Club antique display on Ocean Boulevard, next to the "Horseshoe."
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and admission is free.
The Endless Summer Festival is presented by Avista Resort, Prince Resort, Seaside Resort, Towers on the Grove and the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, and gives visitors “a time to celebrate summer all year long!”
