The Simpson’s Movie Is Finally Here!

Well it’s upon us…the monumental event of the century…. Easily on par with the most importan events in history. Not ulike the moon launch(minus the space war, the Russians, the million dollars of expensive equipment, the hoards of genius aerospace engineers) so long awaited has this day been…and finally it’s here. One small step for man, one giant step for…D’oh

Yes, finally it’s here. An event 18 years in the making…after nearly two decades of bringing us the delinquency of Bart, the childhood left-wing innocence of Lisa, the lack of aging, growing, maturing or really having real relevance to the show of Maggie, and of course the random and blatantly stereotypical icons Apu and Chief Wiggum this first full length feature film finally bursts into theatres July 27th.   And with it comes a new era. For no longer is the comic genius of Matt Groening limited to a mere half an hour, no longer is the witty reportaor of all our favorite characters censored down to allow for prime tim television, and no longer do we watch merely in the comfort of our own homes. Nay, July 27th will be the dawning of a new day, a new epoch in time, a date forever going down in the history of all days important in history. The release of Simpsons: THE MOVIE!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this thing we call The Simpsons you are in desperate need of what we also like to call a “life”, a Squishee , perhaps a Duff Beer and we reiterate, a “life.” For this satire of “middle class” America has been an icon of our fair nation as the longest running sitcom ever and despite it’s duration has maintained the characteristic absurdity, unintelligent humor and complete and utter thoughtlessness we require. From the early days of “Holy Cow” and “Eat My Shorts” we have followed this endearing family and laughed when they laughed, laughed when they cried, and best of all laughed when they did just about anything. Overall we have taken from our time with the Simpsons a bevy of valuable lessons along the way. From Vegetarianism, the dangers of trampolines and even such classical works of Hamlet the Simpsons has used guest appearances by iconic stars such as Hugh Hefner, Stephen Hawking, and Mel Gibson to build a tremendous loyal and highly motivated fan base of who I am proud to be a part of.

So finally the day has come. If you’ve ever wondered how the Simpson’s came to be…click here. If you want to see the movie trailer click here. If you want to see the movie…. Stop clicking on pointless links and buy yourself a fricken ticket!
