Weekend Outlook: Adrenaline, Laser Lights and Old-School Hits

If you need to give your weekend a kickstart, check out Le Grande Cirque Adrenaline, running Monday through Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. at The Palace Theatre in Myrtle Beach. Direct from sold out shows across the world with more than 40 acrobats and performers, Le Grand Cirque Adrenaline features the most exhilarating acrobatic acts on Earth. The Sydney Morning Herald says the show "defies gravity and belief." It features all-new acts including the “Wheel of Death,” billed as “the most dangerous act on Earth.” Visit PalaceTheatreMyrtleBeach.com for more information.

Combining old-school music with 21st Century technology, the Laser light show at the Carolina Opry features Led Zeppelin on Friday at 10 p.m., and Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Mon on Saturday at 11 p.m. Call 800-843-6779 for tickets and other show times.

If you’re up for just old-school music without the laser bells and whistles, there’s Tuesday’s Gone – A Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute that performs on Friday, 8:30 p.m. at The House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach. Tickets are just $7.50; visit The House of Blues Web site for more details.

Or, if Motown and beach music are more your thing, check out Fontinello’s Italian Cuisine & Ragtops Club (3956 Bypass 17 North, Murrells Inlet, 843-492-0632). Enjoy award-winning cuisine, and live entertainment later Saturday evening featuring The Icons Band at 9 p.m. You can also visit the Fontinello’s Web site for a complete listing of special events throughout the season.

Summer on the Grand Strand’s in full swing, so get out and enjoy!
