We mentioned back in March that WonderWorks – the upside-down tourist attraction that’s gained popularity in Orlando, Florida and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee – may be coming to the Grand Strand. Today, the Sun News confirms it, reporting that the parent company has just concluded negotiations with Burroughs & Chapin to bring the attraction to Broadway at the Beach by 2010.
Lisa Fleisher reports that the Myrtle Beach version of WonderWorks will have more than 26,000 square feet of attractions, including simulators of being in an earthquake or hurricane, flying a fighter jet or riding a roller coaster.
Our family toured the Pigeon Forge WonderWorks earlier this year and enjoyed hours of fun, so I’m figuring it won’t take much arm-twisting to get them to go once it arrives here.
In the meantime, you can visit their Web site to get an idea of what others have already come to enjoy about WonderWorks.
This is awesome. I just saw the building of it in Myrtle Beach. Can’t wait 2 c what’s inside.
