Myrtle Beach Scuba Divers, Marine Life Get Up Close & Personal
For all the different scenes we’ve shown through our “Myrtle Beach Pic(s) of the Week” segment, there’s a reason why we really don’t show much from Ripley’s Aquarium. No offense to a great facility, but how many shots can you show that were taken through glass from the same moving catwalk?
If we’re going to show pictures of Grand Strand underwater marine life, we’ll feature those from the folks who had to work to get them – the scuba divers. Here’s a sampling of photos taken beneath the surface of our local waters:
If you’re interested in getting in on some of this action, here are some links to local scuba outfits:
- Coastal Scuba - providing charter service for exploring Civil War wrecks, World War II wrecks, artificial and natural reefs.
- Express Watersports - featuring a brand new, 2007 Newton 46 dive boat.
- Nu Horizons Dive and Travel - boasting the area’s largest, full-service scuba training facility.
