Golf Question of the Week: What's the Most Unusual Golf Swing You've Ever Seen?

Who has the funkiest golf swing you’ve ever seen?

On the PGA TOUR, I’ll take Jim Furyk, hands down. His swing has been likened to “trying to hit a rattlesnake in a phone booth.” But as you’ll see in this Swing Vision clip, what looks unorthodox is actually a “technically sound golf swing.” And with $37 million in career earnings and reaching #2 in the World Golf Rankings … you think Furyk really cares about “funky?” Still amazing to watch, though.

My choice on the Champions Tour? Allen Doyle. He’s been called “a golfer trapped in a hockey player’s body” – no surprise, considering Doyle was a two-sport star who was the top-scoring defenseman in Norwich school history, and a golfer whose slap shot-like golf swing was perfected in the basement of the Massachusetts home where he grew up. More than $11 million later in Champions Tour earnings, Allen Doyle is certainly having the last laugh.

In the non-professional division? Many candidates, but only one undisputed champion. Sir Charles, the stage is all yours:
